3 understandings for the
|
All those who make the Consecration to our Father benefit from this understanding of being a warrior and it isn’t limited to the souls who will make up the order Barbara has been called to establish when that takes effect. The formal act of Consecration to God our Father format, annual renewal Prayers: Day 4, Day 7 and the Act of Consecration itself mention the term “warrior”.

The Fathers' attitude in wanting His children to come to Him
as paraphrased by member (brother bromar4)
Just come to me, just how you are, no matter where you are or have been, just come to Me and consecrate yourself to Me and I will work in you. You consecrate yourself to me and bind yourself to me, bind yourself to me (consecration renewal through the Father chaplet) and through this union with Me, I will do everything in you, I will do the work in you. You don’t need to be a theologian, you don’t need to know anything, you can be the most ignorant person and even lack intelligence and I will work in you because I am your Father and God.
-A Father who, although all powerful, can not be coercive
but waits patiently to be invited-
You need only bid Me come—and I will come; and enter you like the warm rays of the sun, filling you with a love that is beyond all human comparison. To all those who listen to My words, I promise this: if you call Me by the name of Father; if you come to know, love, and honor Me by your own choice—I will rain down upon you such Heavenly blessings—which will work in union with your choice—to bring you back home to Me. Do you know what this means, My child?
Simply, it means that when you allow My will to work with, in, and through you—you are indeed Mine. To be with Me you must recognize who you are and accept the invitation to the great feast in your Father’s home—there to dwell with Him forever. 11/30/98
FREELY GIVEN That makes all the difference!
some excerpts
I come and live in you when you acknowledge that I am your true Father and you are My true child, you decide to return to Me, and you decide to give yourself to me, saying “Yes” unconditionally to Me, remaining inside My Will. Then you are home. You are in the Heart of Your Family; you have “everything.”
This concept must be understood by My children all. When My children do this, when they freely and with fidelity consecrate themselves to Me, I will come in a new way. This will usher in a new Era, My Era—the Era of the Divine Family. The Divine Family is My Will! 6/7/97
Exercise your free will to make the choice that must be made. The path of peace is difficult. But all must choose--freely...9/22/98

Blocks to our free will
INTRO:
Father realizes that telling this generation of His children to give ourselves freely to God has all sorts of associations with not being free to have a will of our own anymore. And He also knows that this is not our fault. He goes to great lengths to re-educate us about His true nature and even man's true nature so that we come to know that God is Love, that Love is Free & that we are created as free children of God and so by choosing Him, we are, in fact choosing freedom. Idols and sin bring with them a real slavery and ultimately death. God wants us to be free. He made us free.
This is a natural process when we are raised in a righteous and authentically loving atmosphere. Like sunflowers that instinctively gravitate toward the Sun. And when we give ourselves 'freely' to our loving Father, He will re-raise us in the Divine Family and give us new life and along with that the peace and joy that comes from dwelling safely in that Family and the possession of having ourselves an upright conscience worshiping the One True God.
Perhaps that bird in the image shown, just left his cage for the first time. Let us assume that in his case, he was born wild, was injured and someone felt pity for him and nursed him and temporarily caged him until his wound was healed and he could then fly about again safely without further injury. Well, coming home to God is a lot like that. We are born with instincts towards good, life and self-preservation, but in "the wild" of a culture outside of God's will, we developed many bent instincts, in other words, the good instincts we were born with may be deviated or bent and turned towards destructive tendencies if we were not raised in a healthy atmosphere and in addition we may have wounds that made it harmful for us to use our free will safely and responsibly without further injury. Sadly, many of us by now, never had a chance to develop into the fullness of maturity we needed to survive or make truly good and responsible choices or thrive (which was our God given right and should've been protected by those in authority to do so). Jesus sees us and takes pity on us and begins to invite us into "the cage" of God's protective atmosphere, and if we consent, He nurses us there and reforms us until such a time when our instincts and bent tendencies are restored towards life and our wounds are more or less healed and then we are strong enough to no longer need the physical bars of enclosure... but rather, He entrusts us to our newly formed conscience of making good choices with restored good instincts. Then we can use our free will to choose the Tree of Life and avoid harmful choices.
But there is no doubt that this is a painful process. And many souls make it more painful than it needs to be as the instincts they have towards severity and self-condemnation that they have up to this point been familiar and consequentially comfortable with can be very coercive pressures. Once Father told Barbara (Seeing..." books) that she must stay in the little boat of His will (which had no oars) and stay in the current of His Love & Mercy. Many others preferred rather to stay along the embankment either on land in the shallow water that often had debris and snags which kept one from the center of the current: the center of His Mercy. They felt this was safer because they felt it was familiar. But if you are reading this, you are definitely among those who know that God's will is what is most safe for us and consenting to His Will over our lives. Father tells us that by choosing Mercy, we will always find Him. Love too. I have found it easier to understand what mercy is more than love as love can sometimes be masked for other things like "affirmation", "sacrifice" etc. But severity and harshness, anger and fear, control and willfulness, lust and pride... these are more obvious to choose to immerse in mercy due to the violent nature of them. Father wants us to choose to be merciful with ourselves and with others and He says this will always unite us with Him.
So: What then when your will seems unruly? When you can not, in fact choose mercy, choose love? Is this possible since we are free? Well, first one has to accept that YES! I AM FREE. I can choose to say yes. I can choose to say no. I can choose to not choose etc. etc. One must accept one is free. There are, unfortunately now souls with mental illnesses that block their progress to this acceptance. I am certain that Father would encourage everyone to make the Consecration to Him, but the more one does it freely, the more effective it will be. Love & Freedom are like that. A good practice is to ask Mother Mary to do for us, in us, what we cannot do ourselves.... She will get us there!

I have only covered a few blocks to free will as they are the ones I am most familiar with.
Bd. Mother Teresa said that America had the greatest poverty, due to our spiritual poverty and the spiritual diseases which we suffer. They have unfortunately become quite common and plaque our post-Christian era. There are self-destructive behaviors that can prevent us from free-ly giving ourselves to God, really giving our self in order for it to be effective, the Source of our Life, sustenance & healing. So, this is the greatest poverty.
In my experience, people who Consecrate themselves to Father find a new freedom of self which puts them on a journey of self discovery which is intended to bring them into a full blossoming of their true identities in God. The newly consecrated child will find that this new experience of safety of having, maybe for the first time in their possession, a Father Who Loves, Provides and Sustains them is so empowering that they have a new courage to do things and try things that they never could before and see things in a new way. A life of fresh possibilities in His Divine Will (as Father says Himself). A world of Love, wonder and beauty opens up before them. And also challenges can arise as we relate with our Father, (in many for the first time),.... which is a necessary part of growth and development and becoming more deeply rooted in our identities and maturation in Him.
The 3 Things I mentioned earlier (top of page) must be embraced freely and with full consent by ones "self."
What would keep a will from making free choices? (Assuming they are not in mortal sin which blocks the "self" from grace automatically... remember mortal sin is one doing an act they know to be a mortal sin (a wrong offense of a grave nature) knowingly and willingly with full free consent.)
DISCONNECTION WITH ONES' "SELF".
If one suffers self-hatred and one condemns oneself, rejecting mercy & forgiveness one must first repent before God (in fact cursing one's self is the same as cursing any soul of God's creation), you will need to forgive your "self" and repent and open your heart to Love & Mercy first.
If you serve God only as a slave out of fear or to win favor, this can not work for a child either. As St. Paul says, he is no son, but a slave (& "under the law of sin")
Father will be "Master" only to these souls due to the will, even despondency of their disposition towards Him. And sadly He will be only to them a "Severe tyrant". Father says we must "free-ly choose Him". And Because Love is free, and only a free choice in Love, which comes natural for healthy children, is required. Love is Free. It is the nature of Love & God will not coerce Himself, or His Love upon us. Love is Free!
He's the Father, we are the child. BE ing is natural to a child. Many have been malformed away from this BE-ing to focus onto DO-ing and docility to structured slavery. Actually the only thing I remember from College was my favorite Theology teacher explaining how the Saints arrived at the place of existing in Kairotic, <Kairos>, or kairotic time, refers to God's eternal time, time of the present moment as opposed to Chronological time. That state of union with God where we share His experience of existing in heaven, within our souls. This gift comes natural for children. Oh that we would've just been allowed to stay there and love, love love... and be happy!
Many people struggle now with the condition of dis-associative/compulsive/repression disorders from trauma which blocks them from the SELF that must freely choose to say yes to Father & His will. These souls must be prayed for and first need qualified experienced assistants to guide them through the process of uncovering their "selves" because this is a real obstacle that must necessarily
be removed. Why?
Because one must first have a "self" for that
"self" to make a choice.
And the self has to have a certain maturity or genuine sense of self, in order to give one's-self, and one's will, over to God.
And our "self" must be able to talk to the "Other"
(God in this case), in order to have
connection between 2 beings
in order to have a relationship between the
Creator & the created.
Father & child.
(St. Teresa of Avila taught on this.)
Note: And just in general, times of great stress or dreams or moments of doing something outside of His will can bring a disconnection with ourselves and then we can do things that bring us back into a connection with our-selves to restore our sense of God within us. Father told Barbara that when she found her "self" she would find Him.
The journey to true self-knowledge is a long patient road but well rewarded with an experience of living life to its fullest, which our God desires and created us for... so He will provide us the means to do it. He will bend over backwards as it is that important that we dwell in His Loving Presence all throughout our journey on earth.
So, if up to this point you have sensed that perhaps you have not completely found yourself... do not worry. Having a Father in God is the fastest most effective way to get you there.
He will show you when you need Mary your Mother, or Jesus your Brother and Saviour, or the Holy Spirit your Consoler and Sanctifier or the saints your holy helpers or anyone or anything on your journey that you may need.
He did tell Barbara though not to seek the love she needs from creatures... He also told her at one point that she loved in a way that makes her ill. Why would he choose someone like this for His mission? Barbara is a very average common person in our times. Father wants to show, through her, how He is coming to us where we are at today, now, and as we are. She too had her identity rooted in many things that were not really her. At one point she says she realizes that who she was was always defined by circumstances... "I am a mother" (according to her perception as mother) etc. but that that was not who she really was at all. Years into her consecration God brought her to realize that many of her perceptions and choices were not based on an authentic self-love which leads one to God but compulsive, inordinate, disordered etc... And she not only did not know she was doing it, but did not know how to stop. This is a testimony to the power of the God the Father consecration and devotion. God sealed her and she even at times against her bent will was mercifully guided back into Life and the Divine will and is now, I am certain, growing, perhaps for the first time in her true identity in Him.
