My Dearest Papa:
Guide me. Show me Your Will!
Dearest Barbara:
Draw a story, a picture of the Three Persons and Your Mother. Make us real to My children so that they may know Us. There are greater things yet which I expect of you. All things [around you] will be put in place over which you have NO control. Be open to My Wisdom and Guidance. ...This is by no coincidence. Let go and trust Me. ...

Bromar 4 Reflection
Father says there are greater things yet which I expect of you, then says that all things will be put in place over which you will have no control.
This tells me that when someone is called to a work of God, it means He will expect more. “To whom much is given, much is expected.” And because of this, we must be open to His Wisdom and Guidance. This tells me that it takes more wisdom and guidance to navigate through since hell will come against us and seemingly take control of things around us, and we will have no control over any of it. But since God allows it, He wants to make use of it for His purposes. “God works all things to the good for those who love Him.” He then states that this is not mere coincidence, but rather, further proof of His providence in allowing things to happen in His permissive will. Then He states that the remedy is to let go and trust Him. This is counter intuitive to our humanity but so necessary! Let us reason through this by firstly believing that God can’t be wrong or lie. He says that we have no control over what is allowed. Therefore, we can’t prevent it or change it. If we can’t exert control then holding on and not letting go will only serve to make us neurotic, causing undue stress and mental anguish which will harm our health, physically and mentally and spiritually. Some would counter that this makes us a victim, to not have control. But I counter that trusting God and seeking wisdom and guidance is the path of saints and is not being passive but active in mind and heart, and that the energy required to do this is much better energy spent than trying to control what can’t be controlled. Besides, whose hands are better suited to be in control, God’s or ours? Life is hard, and events happen that can be both traumatizing and scandalizing to our humanity and our faith. But just because I don't understand doesn’t mean that I ought to become the interrogator of God. That is why He says that we need wisdom and guidance, so that we may see things through the eyes of our soul, by faith, and not become reactive through our sensibilities, our issues or ignorance. Not that trust is easy when we have experienced betrayals in our past but we can fight for it, fight for our faith, fight to see things as God sees them. We can pray for wisdom and guidance as He tells us, and fight for our ability to let go and trust, especially when we have no control anyway.
I suppose all of this can be summed up by saying that God has a plan. And if He has a plan then isn’t it worth it to give our all to seek to see from His perspective, that we might participate in it, so that we don’t unwittingly work against it? Not only would that be a losing battle but it would make us miserable since there is peace and happiness knowing we are in His will.
